It is said that the seed was handed down to Ruby Arnold of Greeneville, TN from German Immigrant grandfather. Ruby passed away in 1997, but before she did Bill Minkey received some seed from Ruby's niece and introduced it to the Seed Savers Exchange in 1993. Rich, sweet, flavor. Pick them based on feel and not color. Usually has a pink blush on blossom end that goes into the center.
